Grove Park Foundation (GPF) grew out of the Emerald Corridor Foundation’s efforts to connect and restore several Westside neighborhoods along Proctor Creek, which have suffered from decades of disinvestment and environmental degradation. The Emerald Corridor Foundation began forging a series of new partnerships with education, wellness, and housing organizations to bring an A+ school, a new YMCA facility, and housing options for all income levels to the Grove Park neighborhood. Collectively, the Emerald Corridor Foundation’s evolution into this community development work and the growing momentum led to the launch of Grove Park Foundation to serve as the dedicated community quarterback entity for Grove Park, to guide an inclusive, holistic neighborhood revitalization effort.
